We truly believe that there are ten or twelve excellent unsigned darkwave bands out there.
Projekt intends to find them and put them on a CD! Unsigned bands are asked to submit one song for consideration. [ For the sake of argument, we allow "unsigned bands" to include bands with self-released CDs as well as bands on "small" indie labels with under ten releases. ] Submissions will be accepted through April 1, 2004; we will listen to all of your songs and pick the very best ones to include on the Projekt Unsigned Bands Compilation CD.

Please follow these instructions very carefully...

What you should send: A CD-R with one song on it (send a standard audio file that will play in a normal run-of-the-mill boombox -- not a MP3). That's it. Impress us with your best song. We don't want any paperwork, bio, press photos, etc. Write the following on the CD-R itself: 1) your band name 2) your song title 3) your email address (be sure to use an email address that will be valid in early 2004 when we contact you!!!)

Remember that Projekt is a diverse label. We're not just about swirly goth. Give us your best song that fits somewhere in the spectrum of darkwave (ethereal, old school goth, electro, new goth, etc. etc). We'll listen to all the entrants to find the best new bands....

We plan for a Spring of 2004 release. We cannot return submissions; we will email you to let you know if your track has been accepted or rejected. Nothing personal if your track doesn't make the cut. : )
