A couple of nights a week, Sasha gets his bath. The first time we went in the tub, we tried using one of those plastic mini-bath tubs but it just wasn't working. Then I tried bringing him into the real tub, but Sasha did not like sitting on the hard slippery bottom of the tub, no sirree! His eyes got all big and panicky, we didn't have to try that more than once! So I sat Sasha in my lap with my legs crossed against the side (it helps being flexible!); that worked much better. Sasha likes the security of having me support him. He really enjoys his baths. He likes staring at the water as it rushes out of the faucet; he likes it when I shoot the water with my hand so it splashes against his stomache; he likes to lick the drops off his lips. It's a relaxing twenty or thirty minutes sitting securely in the warm water.

After the bath, Lisa brings Sasha to the bed to dry him off and lets him squirm around a bit... then he's into his jammies and gets a little snack before bedtime...
