The history of THE RETROSIC started in April 2001 with the publication of their (long deleted) debut
Prophecy
. Since then they have released a number of albums and EPs and remixed countless artists. Three years after their debut,
God of Hell
appeared in three different editions (all of which have been sold out for a long time). Unimpressed by the huge pressure caused by the high expectations under which the album was conceived, THE RETROSIC delivered a masterpiece of harsh arrangements combined with biting vocals. Hard electronics meet more unusual instrumentation than ever before: in "The Storm", Indian flutes open the album. Martial military drums find their way and ethereal boys' choirs rise in the final part of "Maneater". Written under the leitmotif "Destroy the World to Save It",
God of Hell
is thematically a logical consequence of its predecessor, but considers the issue globally. A classic, and now finally available again!
