Hypodermic's eponymous debut album has faint traces of old school gothic rock, with touches of industrial, ebm, and even a little techno tossed in for good measure. Combining the jangly, rough sound of frontman Jonathan Vincent's guitar, to the heavy, sometimes distorted, low-end of Myke Len's bass, to the technological breakthrough's of Otto's keys and programs, Hypodermic has a new sound, with classics sprinkled in.
From the heavy, opening beatdown of "D.C.," to the creepy, Halloween anthem of "Samhain Sister," all the way down to the psychobilly-esque chant of "This World," Hypodermic proves that they are the next wave of Motor City darkness, and are here to stay.
