Experimental, complex harmonies of irish harp, acoustic and electric guitar brave lush layering of powerful vocal and instrumental progressive soundscapes, an evocation of the dark and light in our memories and dreams...like nothing else. The songs of The Glass Hour, bring us one step closer to a musical understanding of the inherent contradictions of love and life. Haunting, highly charged female vocals span more extreme ranges from highs to lows, mirroring the tensions and ironies of opposing emotion. The Glass Hour formed in 2004 as the group sought to bring influences of progressive rock and classical guitar to the underlying ambience of traditional folk harp melodies. The result is a new dance with "darkwave" as uniquely curious and intensely expressive as ever. "Amaranthine" is the trio's first full length release. Check the band's site for upcoming performances in the Chicago area. It is you, our fans and supporters, we thank and hope to continue creating unique, moving soundscapes for years to come.
