| German Import | Becoming older is an inevitable fact of life – one that has some good aspects, mostly appreciated only beyond a certain age though... If everything goes right, you become wiser. Quite simple; five years ago, the German band released a State of the Art dark rock album named Narcotic Room, which incorporated the deathrock-elements of the early phase of the band. Combined with the finest songwriting and a very solid production, the very original sound boosted the band into the next millennium.

And now? Now it is 2010. The second decade of the 21st century has just begun and BDAS are all but tired. An Eye on You is the greatest longplayer of the band of four. Only the finest ingredients are stirred in, in a smooth and relaxed way, and with an extravagance that could be perceived to be the excessive coolness of the four gentlemen concerned!

Starting with the smart-riffed opener "Solemn Times", coming across the cold-rocking "City Ghosts" and the well-known, but incomparably excellent sounding "Reaping Day", via the dark-floor smasher of "Candy Box" to the three-part epic work "Three Corners of an Eye", it all makes perfect sense! Never before has music sounded so free and at the same time so dashing, full of neglect for all stylistic borders. Hardcore fans of the early days will be delighted that a German song named has "Der Kuss" made its way onto the record of this eight-legged band. It dovetails perfectly with the band's other German anthems "Frau im See" and "Traurig".

An Eye on You is already the one and only full-length album for all fans of distinct dark and natural rock, no matter whether you call the final product gothic, wave, deathrock or alternative rock.
