Dream Into Dust create a sound that exists somewhere between folk and industrial, classical and experimental, acoustic and electronic, difficult and accessible. The plaintive tenor vocals and bruised acoustic guitar of Derek Rush are given counterpoint by violist/violinist Eddy Malave of the Arethusa String Quartet. The band also features experimental guitarist Bryin Dall (best known for his work with Genesis P-Orridge's spoken word/sound collage project Thee Majesty, as well as Loretta's Doll and A Murder of Angels).

"soothing pop songs...keep you guessing by the constant inclusion of electronic burst and interference...full of damn fine songwriting and in the end that's what makes dream into dust superb and influential in their own right." wetworks

"intense compositions of surprising delicacy...sweetness and uglier innards all coiled and curdled together" starvox

"a heady mix of cybernetics and organics, with lush acoustic guitars and war singing contrasting with dissonant percussion samples" high bias

"part industrial, part classical, part avante-garde tone poems that alight on touchstones as varied as Nine Inch Nails, Damien Rice, the squealing brakes of subway trains and the clanging of lift shaft cables...giving a voice to ennui and feverish emotion...disturbing and vital" logo magazine
