Australia's Eden charted a territory of gothic-tinged, lavishly expressive music with dark lyrical content and beautifully constructed instrumentation. Original member Pieter Bourke has gone on to collaborate with Lisa Gerrard (of Dead Can Dance) on her solo albums; while Eden founder Seán Bowley has embarked on a solo career.

Eden essentially is singer/songwriter Seán Bowley. The band is a vehicle through which he projects his emotive songwriting and exploration of creative vision. Seán says that his songs are his diary. The songs are glimpses through the windows of his world. But even so, his concern is not with profundity, rather, to write a good song. "At the end of the day, I would simply like to give something back for all that I've received." says Seán.

Eden's music is very atmospheric, and is influenced by a wide variety of styles. Traces of 1960's psychedelia, Arabic and Indian music create a feel that is exotic and moody. Seán's singing has an uncompromising power that conveys the beautiful lyrics in the troubador-style of singers such as Tim Buckley or Justin Hayward.
