The Space Split - This clear-vinyl 7" was made for fun by Mira and their local Tallahassee friends, "Cream Abdul Babar" (At a Loss Records). The bands' sounds are a stark contrast from each other, and make for interesting renditions of each other's songs. Mira performs CAB's "Todd Space is My Day Job" and CAB performs Mira's "Space." Mira puts their trademark ethereal/shoegaze sound to work, while CAB runs Space though their own brand of dark, heavy, chaotic madness. The 7" is a great collector's item, limited to only 500, pressed on clear vinyl, and features beautiful artwork by old Tallahassee residents Tradd Sanderson and Jim Turner. This disc is a small sample of Mira's hometown, and originally available from the merch booths of Mira's and CAB's 2002 tours.
