The Blacksun Fest
The Blacksun Festival is an annual Gothic and Industrial music event. It features top bands in the genre, DJs from around the world, an art show, a fashion show, hotel room parties, and much much more. The three-day summer festival spans multiple venues in beautiful New Haven, CT.

Sam says, "I've been very impressed with the Blacksun Festival, the way they are working to create a thriving American festival environment, akin to the WGT in Leipzig, Germany. Blacksun provides the opportunity for goth and industrial fans to settle into the same city each year, meet old and new friends, and get exposed to a bunch of amazing music. I've been itching to do another Projektfest for a couple of years, but with the logistics of running the label, working on new Black Tape For A Blue Girl material, and being a single dad half the week, it was just too big of a logistical problem to do it all through Projekt's staff. Last year, I proposed to the Blacksun organizers that we work together in 2007, hold a Projektfest within the Blacksun Fest (the way Cold Meat has often had an event at the WGT). This makes for a more exciting scene event. I am very eager to see America's live music scene thrive; working with Blacksun Festival is an opportunity for Projekt to take part in making this a reality."

This is going to be a great year! As for dancing and socializing after the shows, the crew from Das Bunker (LA) is doing their mad thing at the Lilly Pad on Friday, and djs from Contempt (NYC) are taking over on Saturday. New to this year are Panel Discussions and a full Vendor Market. This is only the beginning! More bands, DJs, and events to come!
